Bush Gets it Done Against the Fish
First game in a while I've been able to listen to from start to finish, and it was great to hear Dave Bush again give the Crew a great chance to win. At 29 years old, I just wonder what this guy was doing with his career until now. 7 innings, 3 runs, 2 earned, 7 Ks and 1 walk. It was the performance that the offense needed to overcome a 1-0 defecit early on. Patience once again pays off at the plate as the Crew worked Florida starter Josh Johnson for 5 walks in 4 innings of work. That will spark combacks every time, although Bill Hall home runs help as well. It was his 4th and helped raise his average to .278. Prince Fielder's 8th tater put the Brewer's on top for good in the 5th and DiFelice and Hoffman worked 2 perfect innings to close things out. Ross Gload, who did get a home run taken away by instant replay on Wednesday, got it back with a solo shot in the 5th.
